Monika Haag, Head of Corporate Design Management, RENOLIT SE, presents “Authentic Emotions” 

Since the spring of 2003, Monika Haag has been the department head of Corporate Design Management at RENOLIT SE in Worms, Germany, one of the leading European manufacturers of plastic foils. She specializes in wooden materials and has longstanding professional experience in the field of international trend research. Haag is trained in carpentry and graduated in Industrial Design. She designed upholstered furniture at Mathias Hoffmann Design in Tübingen from 1990 to 1997, and was in charge of the design studio of foil manufacturer Konrad Hornschuch in Weißbach from 1997 to 2000. In 2000, she took over the Design Development for the business area wooden materials at Pfleiderer AG, Neumarkt.

Xiaojing Huang is a renowned Design Strategist & Trend Expert.  She is also a Writer, Speaker, and the Strategic Director for YANG DESIGN.  Having studied Experience Design in Berlin and graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from Guangzhou’s Academy of Fine Arts, she has amassed considerable experience in product strategy, user study, service design, brand DNA and trend study.

As founder of both the Design Strategy Institution and Yang Design, the most forward looking design consultancy in China, she has been leading the Strategic team to build the User Study Lab, CMF Innovation Lab and Public Service Design Lab.  She has been defining design strategy to realize business value for companies in a variety of development stages.  Her clients are leading brands including Boeing, BMW, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, KIA, Samsung, Fujitsu, BOSE, Schneider Electric, Hitachi, Haier and Unilever.

After graduating from the National University of Singapore with an honours degree in Business, as well as a stint at Ogilvy & Mather, Acacia is now responsible for TrendWatching’s trend thinking in Asia. Her regional trend briefings and expert opinion have been featured in various publications such as Campaign Asia, Inside Retail, Warc, Hong Kong Tatler, Southeast Asia Globe, ABS-CBN News, and Mumbrella Asia.

A highly sought-after speaker, in the past year Acacia has delivered over 45 trend sessions in 12+ countries around the globe. Her recent speaking engagements include keynotes and panel sessions at the Philippines National Retail Conference, Chinese Consumer Centre Forum in Taipei, and Facebook Open House Jakarta. Acacia is also an experienced facilitator, having conducted innovation workshops for clients such as P&G in Tokyo, Aditya Birla Group in Mumbai, and MasterCard in Singapore.
